Product Evaluation
What is the value of a truck tire? Buying tires is just like buying other products. It’s not what you pay for the tire. It’s what the cost of the tire is as it relates to performance. Fact: There are not many instances that a $300.00 tire is being sold for $200.00. Usually the tire is just worth $200.00. Question: Am I really saving money by buying the $200.00 tire? Just what tire should I be buying to get the best value? Solution: You have to run the tire and measure the performance. It all boils down to the “Cost per Mile” of running the tire. There are tremendous savings available when you know the facts! Many major tire companies have elaborate tracking systems that will provide you with information as to the value of their tire. The problem with most of these tire tracking systems is that they are complicated to learn and complete. Additionally most tire tracking systems track tires individually by wheel position. Simple Solutions I have developed a simple excel spread sheet that will allow you to determine the value of your tires by using a simple averaging system. I have provided a link to the directions and the worksheet. To receive a disc containing the evaluation directions and worksheet click on the link provided below. Click to order your copy It’s free! |
